Risk Management is a division of Human Resources supporting and identifying loss exposures. The mission of the Risk Management Department is to provide and support, in concert with the various departments, a comprehensive risk management program that includes the identification of loss exposures, and the appropriate techniques for assessing and resolving those exposures.
Risk Management processes the following claims for all BOCC County Departments:

- Litigation Management:
- Assist with case investigation
- Mediation and deposition attendance
- Assist with Interrogatories and Request to Produce
On behalf of all BOCC County Departments, Risk Management provides aggressive subjugation to protect taxpayers' dollars by collecting from third parties responsible for damage to city property.
